Maybe he ate something outside that isn't passing thru. Is your vet
certified using an ultrasound machine, or does he just have one? I
wonder if there is an obstruction that an ultrasound tech that is
trained to test animals may be better able to find.

Christine, did the vet take
plain x-rays along with the ultrasound? Often times an x-ray will show
more than an ultrasound.
