[WW] Bibliography for Weird Wars (In the Meantime)

Hi, everybody! It's a pleasure to be a part of your awesome mailing
list and I am all pumped for Weird Wars. In the meantime, I am
interested in getting a book or movie about World War II that can get my
gaming group in the mood. Can anyone hear recommend any books or movies
that would get my group in the mood for Weird Wars. Perhaps those at
Pinnacle can list their bibliography here. Please realize that we are a
younger group and don't know much about World War II. We can't even
remember much about that chapter in our history books either. (hangs
heads in shame)
All I know about WW2 was at my stepgrandfather's funeral years ago some
military unit showed up to honor him. Apparently, he was part of a unit
that captured the first piece of Japanese soil in the war and had won
some medals (that part of my family is either dead or no longer in
contact, so I don't know the details). After the war, he finished his
term and started a construction company and lived to a ripe old age,
then died slowly of cancer. They had a firing salute and put a flag
over his coffin. That was pretty cool that America would do that and
remember what he did for the country after all those years. Makes me
proud. Oh, well, hope I didn't bore you all too much about Old Gene.
(goes back to being quiet)
