Okay, just found this. Under promotions, on page 159, it says
that if an enlisted man rolls a natural 20 for promotion he is offered a
battlefield promotion to 2nd lieutenant. If he accepts, then their next level must be taken as
Officer. This is my take on it: Grunt and Scout can be multiclassed freely. Medics as a first class can multiclass with
Scout and Grunt (medics may pick up combat skills while in battle; the opposite
is not necessarily true). By rolling a natural 20 and accepting a
battlefield commission, any of the above classes can (and must) take Officer as
a multiclass. Officer as a first class can multiclass
with Scout and Grunt but not Medic (officers pick up combat skills while in battle,
but aren’t going to pick up medical skills). Medic/Nurse can be defined as a nonmilitary
nurse. They get no rank or
military privileges, but can multiclass freely with the Resistance Fighter. The Resistance Fighter can multiclass
freely with the Nurse as shown above. The Resistance Fighter can also multiclass
with Grunt or Scout by joining one of the regular armies. The disadvantage is that they can no
longer gain any levels as a Resistance Fighter (the military frowns on such
independent activities). They
would then follow the same rules for picking up Officer as a class if promoted. My somewhat incoherent thoughts, Clint Black |
