[WW] Non British RAF Pilots

I was watching a documentry about 'Bomber' Harris and
the Bomber Command and USAAF raids on Dresden and
other 'soft' targets and they mentioned that some 40%
of Bomber Command pilots were non-British - presumably
mostly colonial and some (Southern) Irish.

I know that the Catalina that found the Bismarck had
an American pilot - and this was before they entered
the war, he was there as an 'observer'.
