Pg 88 in BotR. Suppressive fire and/or stray rounds rules would be what I 
use.

While I have no RL experiance, I would imagine that a lot of the power of a 
hvy MG is to make em keep their heads down. And and MGer would be more 
likely to suppress rather than aim at individuals with so many coming.

While the MG is still going down, it will definatly slow it down with 
suppressive fire.

Just have to hope that the few that make the saving throws are dealt with by 
other friendlies.
