[WW] Altered History

has anyone altered history to fit the arc of their storyline? D-Day not go 
according to plan? germans one step ahead? what neato tricks did you pull in 
order to justify it?

i'm using the old "secret weapons" stashed stick. add to that a few mages 
creating some bad weather (yes, the germans were caught off guard on 6 june 
in my game) to ground allied air cover and the early use of the V-1 rockets 
on the landing forces. the allies will be lucky if they can make it beyond 
the beachheads.
