Welcome to the network Borderline server. The rules of Borderline are below. The commands are the same for all pbmserv games.

Object of the Game

To land a piece over the Borderline into the opponents teritory to win.

Movement Rules

Moves

Pieces may only move forvard, backward or sideways, not diagonals. Each player in turn moves one of their pieces. Pieces must move the full number of squares indecated by the figure facing that direction. Players must not land on one of their own pieces.

Jumping

Players may jump over their own pieces without affecting them, either to make a simple position move, or to capture opponent's pieces.

Capturing the pieces

Any opponent's pieces which are either jumped over or landed on are won and removed from the board. Up to four pieces can be won in a move. Players do not have to take.

Winning the game

As soon as a player lands a piece over the Borderline into the opponents home territory, the game ends. The game can also be won by capturing all you opponent's pieces, but this is rare.
