Rules of QuickChess

Quick Chess was invented by Joe Miccio in 1991. It is played on a 5x6 board. The initial position is shown below.

The rules are the same as standard chess, except:

  1. Pawns can only advance 1 space on the opening. Therefore, no En Passant capturing.
  2. Pawns may only promote to a captured piece.
  3. There is no castling.
