I agree that a Delta *could* defeat an Alpha.  A Delta could even defeat 
Superior, but not through a simple test of strength or powers.  The Facade 
didn't directly defeat Superior, he simply devised a plan that would pit one 
alpha, Devastator, against another, Superior.  Then he came up with a device 
that, when triggered, would get rid of all of them at once.  Killing two 
birds with one bomb.  Once Devastator and Superior were out of the picture, 
The Facade no longer had any one with the power to stop or to control his 
rule as JFK.  However he had to use cunning and deceit to do it.  He 
couldn't simply march up to Superior, punch him in the gut and hope he'd go 
down. A delta could never just outright defeat an alpha, but alphas ARE 
mortal.  You just have to know how to use powers greater than your own to 
bring one down...
