Trust me, I've started putting together a timeline... and it
got a little screwy..
Although, you got better eyes than I have...)
I've added MATT to the header to attract his attention..
This will likely all go in a FAQ... Hmm... a FAQ would look
nice on my webpage... ;)

Actually, he caught the bullet in '62, and it suggests that he
died in the Bicentennial Battle in '76 ("When Chicago
disappeared, America mourned the loss of Superior most of all.
I wept for the Yankee." -- RP, p8)
But it most definitely states that Kapitan Krieg "massacred
them all [except Sparky]", and that Sparky became Superior
"[in] the flames that consumed the Yankee". (BNW, p21).
However, it also states that Delta Prime, post WWII, was
lead by Superior, the de facto leader "despite the fact
he was outranked by Yankee".(RP, p13)
Sounds like a genuine inconsistency to me...
Likely, they are trying to suggest that the Yankee was *not*
dead while his body was being consumed by the flames, but
merely beaten.
When Superior broke out, Yankee and any live deltas must have
crawled out...

Patriot awakened in '62, nine years after it says he testified
and ten years after the HUAC disbanded..
And, he was 18 when he awakened in '62, which makes his birth
year 1943..
(Both found in RP, pp 8-10)

I would assume that at one point they wanted Houston hit, but
later revised it to make it two cities in the US, two in the
USSR...
But, was Houston hit, or not? Or maybe the Americans *claimed*
that it was hit, but actually something *else* happened...

Personally, I just considered a name change from the old
USSR to the post-nuclear-war USSR.
Either that, or the Crimson Pride is the best of the
Red Brigade, sort of the elite of the mass army...

Well, you have to remember that no one knows that he's an
alpha, and that those who are saying "all free Alphas
disappeared" are right -- as far as they know, all free
Alphas disappeared...

There is an easier explanation: since he set it up, he knew
of its abilities. Therefore, he would know to protect himself.
Very likely, he set up a dampening field around a bunker he
had created for himself -- likely by the same people he got
to build the bomb in the first place. Then, at the appointed
fight, he just sat in his safe place (which might have even
been his mansion), surrounded by no one, flicked on the
switch to protect himself, waited until after the event was
over, and turned the field off.
Either that, or he simply orchestrated the bomb to not affect
him somehow. Or his power isn't "to appear like anyone" but
is "to become like anyone"; you turn the power off, and he
just can't *change*, but is stuck in whatever form he was in
last...
