Actually, thinking about this one suggestion comes to mind:
*Yankee* was brought in and questioned.  Yankee at this point
would have been pretty much a paper tiger, no longer being
the real leader of Delta Prime and being thought to being too 
old to make any fuss.  This depends on him being alive after 
WWII, of course...
