?????

When did we decide this? I not only give my players 3 chips each per game
session, I also let them make a spirit roll and the highest gets a 4th chip.
I have never run into the problem of players having too many chips, even in
a fairly light combat session they'll use them here and there, and any
session with any kind of serious combat(s) in it usually leaves all players
with no chips left over.

If I did this, I would have a high mortality rate when combat occurs, as
they wouldn't have the chips around to save themselves.

Seriously though.. if other marshalls are only giving chips every 8 or 9
sessions, how do your players stay alive? You must have a lot of healing
magic in your posse's - my posse try to avoid taking more than heavy wounds
in any location or its just too time consuming healing them naturally etc
(healing magic is rarer in my games maybe?).

BTW - yes, I do give out roleplaying 'hinderance' chips during play, and
also chips for players who make me laugh. One difference is that I give
bounty points rather than chips for bounty, so that might explain part of
the difference.
