Who: Steve Long

Why Should You Care: Steven S. Long is a freelance writer and game designer
from Greensboro, North Carolina.  Prior to embarking on a full-time writing
career, he practiced law.  He is a graduate of Duke University and Duke
University School of Law.
    Currently, Long works for Last Unicorn Games as the Line Developer for
their Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Roleplaying Game.  In this position he
writes, edits, and develops roleplaying game products set in the Star Trek
universe which focus on the events and subjects depicted on the Deep Space
Nine television show.  He also writes for Last Unicorn's other game lines,
including the Star Trek: The Next Generation and Original Series RPGs and
the Dune Roleplaying Game, based on the works of Frank Herbert.
    Long has also written for numerous other roleplaying game companies,
including Hero Games, White Wolf Game Studios, Pinnacle Entertainment Group
(Law Dogs, Tales O' Terror: 1877, Brainburners, Back East: The South, South
o' the Border), Gold Rush Games, Iron Crown Enterprises, XID Creative, and
others.
