[DL] Extry! Extry! Read all about it! Epitaph out!

Just got me mitts on it, and it do look like it rock.

First of all, don't go looking for the nuclear orange or the bilious green...it's a ghost rock gray book. Cover art is similar to the artwork in the One Shot comic, and looks kinda nice. The new logo for the Epitaph itself is an almost petroglyphy stylization of the DL logo, and looks mint.

The first couple of pages are Tattleresque tidbits of what's going on around the Weird and Wasted West. Library Opens in Junkyard! Bankrupcy Blanketing Baron of Bayou? That kind of thing.

Next are submission guidelines for the Epitaph, the website and PEG in general...a good idea, and one that doesn't take up enough pages to annoy me. Also gives us profiles of Da Big Cheezes in PEG, too.

Then, an Adventure set in the Weird West...Trouble at Table Rock. Haven't read it yet.

Jay Kyle gives us a new HoE Veteran table...Veteran o'the Syker Wars, which looks kinda juicy at a first glance.

Then we get a Dime Novel That Never Was, called "Story's End" for HoE. Haven't read it yet, but if the dedication of the Epitaph is anything to go by, it should be pretty cool.

Next, a twelve-page colour (!) comic called The Blood Oak, starring everyone's favourite Harrowed Gunslinger (and namesake of Shane's newest young Manitou), Ronan Lynch.

Finally, two beautiful colour (again, !) advertisements for upcoming Deadlands products, Hexarcana and Range Wars. There's also an Origins Award Winner ad for DL itself, and a mini-catalogue of current products, both also in colour.

This just looks slick...if content matches style (and this is PEG, so that kinda tends to go without saying usually), I'll look forward to picking up one of these every quarter.

Happy reading.
