[DL] Weird concept

Been thinking lately and I had a couple of odd
ideas...

Has anyone taken a published adventure and changed it?
A good example would be to use night train, but
replace the Nosferatu with Hellstrome's Automitons, or
Braincrawlers.

Second weird idea, how often do people use creatures
from other gaming systems? The one that comes to mind
which would work in Deadlands (besied the crossovers
already done) is Time Master. Anyone remember that
system? The major villian was a race of four-armed,
time traveling, extra dimensional cannibles called
Demorians. They were shape shifters who could, and
would assume the appearance of important figures in
attempts to rewrite the history of neighboring
dimensions to make them easier to conquer. I can see
them as a major thorn in the Reckoner's side.

Finally for the really weird idea. It's been said on
here the reason why heroic characters are prefered to
villians is that there are more than enough villians,
and that the game is about herioc struggle against
evil. The idea of playing for the Reckoners has been
frowned upon. Dispite that has anyone played a
Deadlands villian adventure? The idea I had was for a
one-shot adventure in which the posse consists of a
rag tag group of abominations (Cankers, Scarecrows,
Night Haunts, Vampires, etc) sent by a greater manitou
on a special mission to protect someone in his younger
years (someone fated to reshape the future, hint
hint). The trick is subtlety is key, they need to do
this without that special someone being wise to their
actions, ergo, no random killings and mayhem allowed.
This is where the Demorians can come in. They
understand time travel, and will attempt to eliminate
this special person before he can achieve his destiny.
It would be the posse's job to eliminate the
Demorians while avoiding Pinks and Troubleshooters.
For an evil bait and switch, play with the idea of
divine forces mentioned a few months back. The
greater manitou that 'hired' them was actually a
mischievous nature spirit, there are no Demorians, and
the posse are really bumping off agents of evil that
are guarding/protecting Mr. S. Needless to say this
would be a one-shot adventure. Maybe later you can
have your continuing campaign of good guys go up
against this anti-posse.

Just some weird ideas,
