The following is part of a reply to private email to Goff- I just had to
share it with the lot of you. It's too good to confine to just a few

Well, it didn't, but I ended up going with this anyway. They didn't get to
the Bloodwolf, but the Living House did do a number on one of them (and
another did a number on himself and someone else). I led them there with a
headless corpse walking toward it. They saw it walk in after it stopped on
the front steps, turned, and waved at them. Later, the next day, when they
actually went into the house (this happened at about midnight), the Harrowed
gunslinger (who didn't quite know he was dead, and still hasn't quite
figured it out, despite a successful takeover by the Manitou) peeked through
the keyhole, saw the corpse sitting there in a hallway waving at him,
freaked out, told them he saw it, and they knocked on the door trying to get
the occupants to come to the door. Eventually, they just went in, and later
Jack (the gunslinger) realized, "Wait a minute, I saw it sitting in a
hallway in front of the door, but there's no hallway!" That really freaked
them out.

Later, when they were on the second floor looking up the stairs tothethird
floor, theysaw the corpse's feet, and as they called up to it, it turned and
walked away, and as Jack dashed up the stairs, it wasn't there. As one of
them (a Mad Scientist named John Gotti) looked down the stairs for a second
time when they were on the third floor, he noticed that the stairs looked a
bit different. That's when they REALLY started to get freaked. Anyway,
after some fun bits, including a part where some of them went outside and
Jack looked through the keyhole again and of course saw the corpse; the
other Mad Scientist couldn't even though he was seemingly standing right in
front of it. The MS fired at where it was supposed to be and the wall
opened up and the shot hit smething on the mantle. Those on the outside
noticed this, and thought it funny because there was a wall between where
the MS was and the den. They then went back in to investigate, and that's
when I got them :) .

One character, Myron Q. Hornswaggle (a shyster), managed to break out a
window and squirm out through it. The House stabbed a Harrowed Huckster in
the head with a flying butcher knife (sklizzorch!)- minus one character. I
took over the gunslinger and didn't have him really do anything until he
darted to the closed front door. Then the MS (known as "Smoke") with the
shotgun (who developed 3 Dementias between games, including a rather amusing
one involving a rather minor attraction to fuzzy things) decided that there
was something wrong with Jack and went after him. He then fired, missing
him due to a rolling Dodge, but doing 26 damage to a wall. Jack then made a
called shot to the MS's head, and "Smoke" was quickly smoked himself. He
was Critically wounded, and luckily he failed his Stun check ("luckily"
because he's the local group's notorious munchkin) and was unable to act.
As only he, Jack, and John Gotti (who had a flamethrower) were the only
people left alive in the House at this time, Jack then quickly dashed out
(the door opened for him) before Gotti shot the tank of his flamethrower in
order to destroy the House. He took 150 damage from the explosion (and we
figured it out that he could have survied had he spent 6 blues and 1 red
because it was only in 1 location), and Smoke, who was stunned on the other
side of a wall, actually took significantly more damage than Gotti. Jack
barely got out safely, exiting the House on the 4 of Diamonds, with the BOOM
coming on the 3 of Hearts. This turned out to be my deadliest session yet,
with 3 deaths.

By Shaft, I love this game.
