Re: [DL] only a little OT, or not even, really.

Top five games you say....well lets see

1) Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay - A real favourite this, can`t tell you how
happy I was to hear about Hogshead reprinting it. OK so the mechanics are
old, the magic system open to heavy criticism and high level characters can
walk all over it but when a world is as beautifully created and as dark as
this one nothing else really matters. Makes your average AD&D world seem as
threatening as Disneyland.

2) Deadlands - A very close second. Excellent idea, good fast-flowing
cinematic system and a company which is commited to supporting it...Pinnacle
I salute you.

3) Star Wars RPG - perfectly captured the feeling of the films, fast,
frenetic and a film quote lurking around every corner....a real favourite.

4) Shadowrun - Fantasy meets cyberpunk in a dark corrupted future. Love the
setting and the rules work well.

5) GURPS - Love the concept of one universal system, it may not always quite
work but the attention to detail makes it well worth a look.
