i have two groups now. On different days of the week. The thing I try to
do is pick a day when a majority of people can make it. Then find the one
or two who can't and either let them NPC something once in a while until
they can get a more permenant schedule.

On the side try to work as much gameing into one session as everyone can
take. I've found 6-7 hours is pretty much a good session. I'm working up
to a weekend marathon game but that's a ways off.

Keep your group small. 12-14 people are going to have lots more problems
than 4. If you have to split the group see if you can recruit a new marshal
and teach him the ropes.

If you must have a large group try meeting less frequently. once a week is
harsh for large games. twice a month is better and allows for more dodge
time. Just make sure you can cram a good 8-9 hours in because large combats
suck up time like a black hole.
