[DL] about spoilers

first: thank you all, you've been a great help the second time.
once again i have another question (this time i KNOW it is a silly question:-) : what is spoiler and how does this spoiler stuff work? all i know is that it has something to do with players and things to hide from them. the german translation is something like "loot" or "prey".
