One correction to my previous post - it would have had to have been a 
serious wound to the head, and not a light, before Lincoln would have been 
bleeding at all.

And all this, of course, does not take into account Lincoln's possible 
lower than normal blood pressure, pituitary hyperactivity nor possible 
skull and brain damage suffered from when a horse kicked him in the head 
when he was 10 years old.
