[DL] Setting the Mood

Somebody here in the listserve had mentioned watching the movie Purgatory,
I just wanted to say thanks. Before, I had passed it in the aisle of my
local video store and wasn't sure about renting it, but after reading your
comment about the movie I decided to watch it, and it was great. I loved it.
Usually, before a game of Deadlands my posse and I will have a western movie
marathon (I feel that it will help the posse better envision the local
stores, area landscape, and people better without going into great detail in
the game). The weirder the movie the better. Anyway I thought I would
recommend a movie for those looking for such things. The movie is Ravenous,
starring Guy Pierce, Robert Carlyle, Jeffrey Jones, and David Arquette. It
is a creepy cool film with enough weirdness and dark humor to entertain the
most die-hard of Deadlands fans. It has lots of action, suspense, blood,
and just a bit of cannibalism (ok LOTS of cannibalism). And if other
Marshals like to set the mood of a Deadlands game with some music, Ravenous
has an outstanding musical score (I just ordered the soundtrack from
half.com to use for our games). Check the movie out, you won't be sorry. At
least I hope you won't be sorry. ;-)
