RE: [DL] Leadership and goin' bust

The problem I see is the explanation of happened in my Weird West movie:
(Staring Hero and Buddy)
(Hero and Buddy are riding horse over some sand dunes.
Wide shot of the sand first being sucked down, and rising around the
funnel is a wall of flesh. A new type of rattler has been found. The
Marshal has been rereading the classics.
Hero reacts with the quickness of someone who has survived this long in
the Weird West and puts spurs to his horse.
Cut to close up of terror on Buddy's face.
Drawing on years of experience while serving leading patrols on sorties
during the recent misunderstanding...)
Hero shouts: Move it Buddy!!!!
Cut to....
What at this point is believable? Is it believable that Hero saw Buddy,
realized that Buddy was having problems, shouted and Buddy now reacted
fast enough?
One question that the Marshal has to answer is did the failure indicate
Buddy was thinking slow or did he, trying to do the right thing was not
quick enough to do this.
If the situation does not involved just fast reaction, e.g. spears
coming from the sides of walls, then I would allow the support.

    Hola all,

I have a question: is it possible to use the Leadership aptitude to
help
    out
someone who's gone bust on their Quickness roll in a given round? I
know
    that
usually it's used to trade cards, but if the person needing a little
    assistance
has no cards, can they be helped, or has Fate just bitchslapped
them
    beyond
    that?

Apologies if this has been asked a billion times before (I couldn't
find
    it in
the archives, but knowing me that doesn't mean anything).

    Thanks,

    Daphné
