Our posse member with the stupid hinderance decided he was going to scout a 
mine, that was alegedly being used as a counterfitter's hideout.  Upon 
running into a weaponless guard, the posse member proceeded to shoot him 
dead.  After the encounter, thew Marshal asked him why he chose to kill the 
defenseless, innocent farmer that was hired to watch over the mine.  His 
answer?  "It was him or me!"
