Re: [DL] Mark Twain

Twain, a.k.a. Samuel Langhorn Clemens (1835-1910) did go west as a
newspaperman. At a mining camp in California, he heard a tall tale of
the notorius jumping frog and published his first book in 1867, "The
Celebratd Jumping Frog of Calaveras County." In 1872, he published
"Roughing It", which recounted his journey to Nevada. In 1876 he
published "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer." By the Deadlands timeline
(1878) he was living Back East in Hartford, Conn.
