Well, If'n I had to hazard a guess I'd say:

                Dmg            Bonus    Cost    Notes

Pickaxe        Str+2d10    -2            $8.00    Negates 1 point of armor and is -4 to Fighting rolls. Alternatively you could use levels of Trade (mining) with the Nimbleness die to resolve attacks with this weapon at no penalty to the Fighting rolls.

Ok.  Just had to be safe.  Does anyone know how much damage a pickaxe does in standard DL?  My Posse's gonna come up against some walkin' dead who were once miners, and I need to know how much of a whuppin' they're going to get.  All help appreciated. (:
