Some fun ideas:

If the party is stable at a certain lucky size, maybe give them a list
of manitou inspired by various numbers:
3: dark version of the holy trinity: Father (maybe the biggest,
meanest manitou, with lots of potential powers), Son, Holy Ghost.
	4: Four Horseman, of course...
7: Seven Deadly Sins. Or, for a sightly less predictable slant, the
seven virtues somehow...
You might want to bump them up with an appropriate power and weakness
from these to make it more interesting. I.E. any Saloon Gal can cause
normal damge to the one with a Lust-themed manitou.

I believe the game Wraith sued a mechanic where each player payed
someone else's darker side... If you can work out a good system to
reward this, maybe they could RP each other's manitou...

Aspects: Their maniotu are basically just avatars of the same greater
entity. Let it move spirit dice around (but at a 2 for 1 rate,
perhaps), so it can strange one charcater, but only if it leaves the
others to their own devices. This is an interesting idea, but it needs
a LOT of work.

Oh... The Book o' the dead has some ideas for a harrowed campaign you
may want to read. Harrowed are powerful, especially without the minor
problem of keeping non-harrowed friends safe and sound. An entire group
of harrowed can be trouble, and a LOT of work for a GM, especially if
you want to scare them. It's hard to freak the guy who's already dead
and knows he's bulletproof.
