For a hollywood adaptation of something that was pretty cool, it din't
suck. They pretty much decided LXG was a cool idea and then did thier own
thing which made a pretty cool movie by itself.
The only real problems I had with it was the actors for both moriarty and
Dr Jeckel were way too young for thier characters.
THe steam-punk stuff was sweet, the movies dipiction of the nautilus as
being totally ficking huge was one of the coolest bits in a film I've
seen in a long time.

One other problem I had with the film the way they tried to fit dorian
grey into the plot.
Lets see, he says if he sees his own painting bad things happen to him,
yet he claims that he had it hung up in public view in his own stair case
that he uses everytime he goes to the door, and no one see a flaw in that
story or thinks that someone may have taken it to blackmail him, or that
he would agree to doing anything else but spending all his time trying
to get it back?
Then he shoots ishmeal for no apparant reason.
Then he never says anything like "hey sorry for betraying you, but
Moriarty had the painting that is the only thing keeping me alive and I
had to do what he said. How about just letting me walk away?"

Anyone figure out who were the charaters in the painting, I spot the 4
musketters and the scarecrow/Rev. Syn and what might have been the
harpooner from moby dick.
