Basically, it works like a Blessed with a new Miracle. You pay the 5 Bounty
(and study, of course) to get the new Hex. You then cast the Hex at the
level of your Hexslingin' Aptitude instead of it having its own individual
level. For instance, you no longer have Phantom Fingers 3, Soul Blast 5,
Shadow Walk 1, etc. You just have your Hexslingin' level and all your Hexes
work at that level.

We used the new rules and it worked out well. We did add something to it however. After generating the hours needed to learn the hex, divide by five and the huckster could buy one point per every incriment of time into the hex to signify "still learning" in case he needed it during play. Until he spent 5 Bounty Points. The huckster could only do this with ONE hex at a time to save on book keeping. It worked well and added some fun to the game.
