Actually, that is the other undead. There are three types of undead in
Deadlands: the soulless which are the majority like the typical brain eating
zombie who are just a dead body with a manitou inside (the lights are on, and
someone is home, but it is under new management as it were), undead with
their own souls intact, such as liches and perhaps vampires I can't recall,
they are the uber undead so to speak, and the harrowed, the only type of
undead that have a manitou and the original human soul taking up residence in
the same body.
