Well, I knew that - that's why I talked about Dodge (with a capital "d")
about missile attacks but "dodging" (i.e., kind of generic ducking and
weaving using your Fightin'/Brawlin' or whatever) when I mentioned HTH.

But that raises another question. Okay, someone moves up to me and swings
with a sword. I'm a lousy hand-to-hand fighter. So I toss a card up my
sleeve, make the Quickness roll, and run away.

Should my opponent simply not be able to hit me ("Duh, where'd he go?")? Or
should he get a parting shot at me? And if he should, shouldn't I get to
use a Dodge roll?

Most combat systems I've seen assume that either A) You interrupt and move
so fast he doesn't get _any_ chance to hit you, or B) He gets a free shot at
you, with backstab-type modifiers to boot.

The truth seems to lie somewhere in-between. But if the HoE system covers
it, I must have missed it.
