I think it's very important because discussion now might prevent future
rules being implemented for Blessed and Shaman.

If the current HoE environment makes Hucksters (or Blessed, or Shaman)
unviable, fine. Great. Say that and move on.

I just don't want to be paying for game mechanics (any game mechanics) that
take up column space and simulate unviability.

Not only is the column space in Junkman Cometh a waste when another Power
might have been squeezed in (there's enough room there for something the
size of, say, Spook Juice), but to a large degree the Veteran of the Weird
West page in the WW Companion is now kind of a waste. Old-Timer is
currently the easiest, most accessible, and most understood rationale (the
Cyborg book may change that, granted) to bring a Veteran into 2094. But
now...ehh, who would want to?

I don't see Pinnacle's rationale here. What's the point in saying, "Yeah,
you can bring your Deadlands characters forward" but then throwing
roadblocks that debatably make one of the most popular classes of such
characters unplayable?

It's not something I'd like to see repeated for Blessed and Shaman, and the
rules for those have yet to be written.
