Well, just to cover two things at the same time, then, what is "Jo" short 
for?

I suppose.  Although it seems like there are various Huckster and Harrowed 
powers that are at least the equal of some of the AT/"Blessing"/Saint stuff. 
  So if a Harrowed can cause sickness at about the same level as, say, an AT 
tapping into Pestilence with a White Chip, why would one get you a pass at 
the Pearly Gates, and the other not?

That also leaves the question of what a blackballed Templar is drawing on 
exactly as far as the lesser stuff.
