That wouldn't help.  As per Iron Oasis, you roll a d6 for # of locations 
"hit" by the balst, and subtract 1 for each blast radius out from the 
center.  once you hit 1d6-6 i.e., six radii out, no damage.  The rules even 
acknowledge this possibility.
