Re: [HoE] Junker/Armor ?

I certainly appreciate the efforts of folks who have double-checked my
calculations. And as I noted, the Armor/Durability thing was intriguing,
although I would need (and did ask for) more detail.

There was, of course, only one "rule" that I complained about. I wasn't
on-line here when the Junker SB came out, but I seemed to like it a bit more
than many folks did, and have commented once or twice in support of them.
Plus my review of it can be found at:

http://www.azraelonline.com

in the archive section.

Most of the ideas in question seem to involve either A) fiddling with the
prices - Shane & Co. could say for sure, but I don't believe they created a
form of barter-based economy just so that they could "hide" errors in
pricing by saying "Oh, well just hike up the price."; B) penalizing the
players under the misconception they are trying to abuse the rules; or C)
adding more bookkeeping and die-rolling on to the existing system.

If anybody has suggestions outside of those three areas (which seem to be
the three recurring ones whenever anyone points out _any_ potential problem
with the existing rules), I'd be glad to hear them. And, as with the
Durability/Armor thing (if it doesn't wander off into C above), the few I've
heard on this topic have been good.

There are other rules that I have asked questions about, but that shouldn't
be construed as "complaining."

The Junkman Cometh is not a "RPG" in any case. If you have any comments of
mine where I have complained about the HoE RPG in general, or even a
majority of the rules therein, please print them to support your comment.

My bibliography of works can be found at my web site. If you're disputing
my experience in the field, please free to point any errors that I have made
in that regard.

Hope that clarifies things.
