[HOE] permanent injury rules?

Hey, has anyone ever come up with any rules for more long term injuries
like broken bones or thing like that?

Here's the situation:
My char. went mono-a-mono with an automaton and lost, badly. Her left leg
got broke and she was able to crawl away and hit it with a LAW and take it
out.
So now she's got a leg brace, a crutch and a critical wound to the leg.
She also had a week and a half to heal.
Well she's hardy, so she gets to make a healing roll every 3 days. She's
got a really good vigor (3d12) and she has the blessing of St. Hise which
means she can spend a white chip and get +4 to a vigor roll.
The end result is that she made three healing rolls in the last week and
a half and took her critical broken leg down to a light.
Now I know she is unusually tough and a quick healer (I designed her that
way) but it still seems odd to have her heal THAT fast.
So basically I've self-imposed the lame hinderance on her for the next few
sessions for reality's sake.
But I was wondering if anyone had come up with any rules for probabilities
of wounds being more serious and healing times for broken bones or
ruptured spleens?
