Re: [HOE] Help out a poor foolish marshall?

After reading my first solution, you're right; it was just a way to screw
the posse over.

Junkyard I'm a bit more "iffy" on. It IS a nice place to seed adventures,
and if the posse is TRULY well off, then they'll have a chance to do things
like bet on the sporting events, the junker can go scouring for parts, they
can sleep in actual BEDS, buy weird stuff, etc. I don't think charging them
to get in is TOO demanding in this case, because it opens up a lot of
possibilities.

On the other hand, your idea works too. In fact, I might not even charge
for the Renown edge since it'd be for such a VERY small area (one
settlement). If they want to expand on that renown, then they can either
pay in bounty points OR pay in goodwill.

Still, every now and then you have to expect raiders to come calling,
especially if the group has a lot of goodies and isn't being very discreet
about it. I mean, a whole bunch of adventures seem to start with "Town X
was raided by bandits/Black Hats/whatever and needs to to find item Y for
them." It would make sense that a particularly wealthy posse might be set
upon by raiders, too.

I guess the secret is to keep it varied. Have some good things happen, and
some bad things happen.
