"Yeah man, like, relax dude, or you'll give yourself a heart <ack>..."
"What happened to him?"
"A 1/80 chance."

It has nothing to do with your dice turning on you, it's just that over
time the odds stack against you.
1.25% chance/day of it dying equals a 98.75% of it not dying on the first
day, or a 97.5 chance of it not dying by the second day, or a 96.3% of it
not dying by the third day...
<much later>
... or a 68.5% chance of it not dying by the 30th day (why are you holding
your chest like that?)...
<still later>
... or a 47% chance of it not dying by the 60th day (you look kinda pale
weitzel, you ok?)...
<even later>
... or a 32% chance of it not dying by the 90th day (where'd weitzel go?
He died like... 20% ago man.)

"Actually sir, we found the Jade Monkey; it was in your glove
compartment."
"And the road maps? And ice scraper?"
"They were in there too, sir."
"Ex-cellent! It's all falling into place."
