There really isn't anything that wrong about it. Then again, it's quick and simple, and I'm a sucker for quick and simple systems (take a D20, add your bonus, high is good, 'nuff said).<<
It's not so much that I dislike the D20 system, as much as that it loses the flavor of the game. It's like reading. a book that was translated from English into Ancient Egyption and then back into English. Granted that Fred's a great translator, but something still gets lost in the translation.

As opposed to a $25 D20 book. Plus a couple of $25-$30 AD&D books (Player's Guide & DM's Guide for the Marshalls).
