It's worse than that.  It's either a summary of the limited sample
you have or a projection of your preconceptions.  A summary of the DL
& HOE players I know (an equally limited sample, of course -- around
22 players all told) neither fits your model nor is a complete
opposite.  It even includes players who play one character as "shoot
first, ask questions later" and another as "avoid combat until
forced".
