Re: [HOE] German Question

Well, ok "Freak" is another option, but I think its meaning in german would rather describe a very strange person.
It CAN mean "Mißgeburt" in the sense of a "freak of nature". But anyway the german word "Mißgeburt" is not a very nice one as it is usually used as an insult against disabled people. Also you wouldn't describe a HoE Mutant in that negative way, because Mutants in HoE are the opposite of disabled, they are capable of amazing feats!

How about "Freak" instead of "Mutant"?

IIRC, Freak is 'Missgeburt'?

Stephan?

Hi there!

This is Stephan from Germany. Well, Mutant (Moo-tant) is definitely the right word! I think you would like to have something that really sounds german, but it is really the closest word there is. I don´t know another.

Stephan

Well, I was really hoping for some of our German fans to give me a good approximation. The machine translations leave something to be desired, and a name like "TotenMutan" is much more impressive than the garbage the machine spits out.

Thanks,
Teller
