I don't have the rules with me, but I could have sworn that the burst radius and massive damage rules as of the latest versions (found in Waste Warriors and, I believe, on the PEG website) suggest that in damage like this would be figured in the first burst radius as 4d10 (for example) then in the next burst radius as 3d10, then 2d10 then 1d10. That's massive damage so ALL areas would take whatever wounds were rendered As for how that would affect odd damage rolls, there would be two ways to handle that. I think the normal method would be to roll 4d10 for the first radius, then 3d10 separately for the second and so on. But if you prefer to have a more consistent dropping of the numbers, then just roll the 4d10 then remove one of the dice for the damage that affects the second radius and so on. That would be a whole heck of a lot quicker and more consistent that dropping down die-types for separate burst radii. And yes, that many wounds to all areas is pretty nasty and some of the damages of some of the burst weapons were reduced a bit in Waste Warriors to make up for that fact, if I remember correctly. Like I said, though, I don't have the books in front of me so I can't say for certain. Lenny |
