I have been informed that Project GIPF is reaching its tenth birthday and thought it would be cool to implement a "grand" tournament on the server analogous to the live one at the Mind Sprots Olymiad in Prage in Sep/Oct (especially because the prospects of my getting to Prague are slim).
I was wondering if anyone knew the status of the GIPF implementation. That game had been having some issues. I think it may have to do with the use of STL.
Also, are there any PHP wizards who might tackle a graphic front end for GIPF? It would be extremely similar to Yinsh or Tzaar. Since Tamsk was demoted it represents the only remaining game without a UI.
I would be willing to help look at the C++ for the GIPF game if needed. Who knows, maybe in honor of ten years we ought to implement potentials!
Cheers,
Lyman
