You can now view your Gmail messages in fixed-width fonts.
You have to go into Settings, and click on the "Labs" tab, then you can select an option to
have fixed-width fonts (it is a Google Mail Labs option).
To actually see your email in fixed-width you have to open the message then select "Show in
Fixed Width Font" using the drop down arrow at the top right of the message.
This works for me using Windows XP and Firefox 3.0 rc2.
