Re: [PyrNet-L] Shaving Pyrs

Hi Karen;

Your baby's coat must be a bear to keep. Luckily mine aren't that
difficult to take care of. It sounds like in your case that clipping is
the best way.

The "Ice on Ice" that Janice suggested is a good conditioner, but I am
partial to "The Stuff". I use it in my grooming business every day.
After a good warm bath, towel dry your dog and spray all over coat. You
don't have to use much, a little goes a long way, but use more on areas
that tend to mat. This stuff also cuts drying time ,a big bonus.
It has silicone in it so you wouldn't want to use it on a show coat
regularly, but on a pet coat I love it.

Are you using a pin brush or a slicker? A slicker will help get out the
mats and dead hair a lot better than a pin brush. I like the Universal
large slicker.

I hope this helps. Between the clipping and the conditioners, hopefully
your grooming time will be cut and both of you will have more time to
have fun!

Hope this helps,

Cindy
