[PyrNet-L] Re: Rage Syndrome
Hi all,
Re the bad news about rage. I, not being a main-stream Pyr
person, have not heard of rage in our breed. My husband's
aunt, however, does have a Springer, and when she learned
about rage in this breed, she immediately panicked and was
ready to put Winston down. Ed and I calmed her down, not
all that difficult because Winston was already four years
old and had never shown any signs.
What I did learn at this time was that vets were delving
into the possibility that it had to do with the dog reaching
maturity, the size of the skull cavity and the size
of the brain. Perhaps too much brain, and not enough
capacity.
I never went any further into the problems since I did
not think it involved our breed. Now I really would like
to learn more.
