You are absiolutely correct.  If there is a passenger traveling the cost is
$50.00.  I am retired United Airlines.  One thing to be cautioned about - the
dog and kennel together cannot weigh more than 125 pounds.  If it does weigh
more then the animal will have to be shipped air freight.  Also, most vets
will suggest a tranquilzer for the dog.  Its a very scary thing to be put into
a dark hold of the plane and have to deal with takeoff, landing and air
turbulence.  The last thing is to ask the baggage desk in the baggage area to
please deliver your dog and kennel to an area where the animal does not go
down the slide to the carousel.
