[PyrNet-L] Fur staining and allergies!

Hello all,

Lucy is just over five months old, and we've been told she is suffering
from some mild allergies. She chews at her fur on her feet and thighs
quite a bit. Thankfully there is no apparent skin irritation (sores or
rash), and we check her daily for fleas (she has none). We are treating
her by shampooing once a week with a hypoallergenic shampoo, and the vet
reccomended adding DermCaps to her food twice a day. Hopefully she will
find some relief after the weather cools down here in Michigan.
Any other pyr owners have allergy problems?? Does anyone have
suggestions to relieve the itching??

Also, she has several stained areas on her fur. Under her chin, and
bottom lip. (I assume from blood because those nasty molars are cutting
through!!) and between her pads, on the underside of her feet.....not on
the topside where she chews a bunch. Though I've heard that saliva can
stain, much like tears do, so I am concerned I will have to begin
treating those heavily chewed areas for staining soon!

I've never had a white dog before, but I do like to groom her and keep
her spiffy looking! Any hints on removing these stains?? Is there a
"white-dog wonder powder" or solution?? <G>

Thanks for any suggestions!
