Heard a horror story from a friend this week. Her vet was delayed, doing
an autopsy on a young golden retriever who died very suddenly--no
long-term symptoms or anything. Turned out that he had gotten into some
chocolate--quite a lot still in the stomach--and that's all the vet can
find regarding causes. I know we all have stories of dogs that have eaten
it with apparently no ill effects, but just want to warn everyone that it
can have devastating effects.
