I really liked this part Judith

I have a family and very much believe in protecting my family as
much as possible which is why I originally got involved with Pyrs...
I think that their breeding for the most part produces the best
Guard Dog. One that is smart enough to analyze a particular
situation and then determine how much force in needed to remedy
it. Maybe my thinking is in the clouds, but I don't think so. I have
also not known of any cases of viciousness brought on by a Pyr
to give the breed any kind of a bad name, however I'm sure there
are Pyr's out there that do have bad genetic breeding or bad training.
But on the whole, I think we can all be very proud of the guarding
instincts of our breed. And I have full trust in Pyrs... I want mine
to have enough sense to guard... not attack... however, I also want
him to have enough sense to attack should my wife be at home and
is in mortal danger from a robber or something. Again, we are
after guarding dogs that have enough sense to figure out the situation.
A dog that attacks first and questions later is just stupid and vicious,
a trait you would find more with a pit bull, not a pyr. (errr... that was
a low blow... lol... ) In any case, we still do not even know if this dog
is a pyr, but even if it is, we can only expect a few bad apples for
what ever reasons, but on the whole, I think we can still be very
proud of our breed, and those associated with Pyrs.
