[PyrNet-L] Question... What is the best age to purchase your Pyr puppy?

Hi.  I have 3 Great Pyrs.  

Katie Lynn was 4 wks old when I purchased her.  I gave her tons of
attention.  "Baby-d" her big time and enjoyed it very much.   Almost 4
weeks later, I purchased my second Pyr, Brandee Girl.  She was 12 wks old
at the time.  Now, I purchased a male Pyr, Winston, he is 5 1/2 yrs old.

My father-in-law recently purchased 2 pyr puppies, from 2 different
breeders.  One breeder was very upset with me when I mentioned that I had
purchased Katie at 4 wks old.  Is there really a problem with this?  If so,
please let me know.  She is almost a year old and she listens to me better
than the others.  She obeys on command.  She is outstanding.  She is a bit
bigger, and more beautiful than my other female.  So, I fail to see the
problem.  

If you have any advice, please let me know.
